MOSASAUR AND PREY

In this bronze sculpture, a mosasaur surfaces from the deep waters of the Western Interior Seaway, 80 million years ago, to hunt a shark. When examining fossils and research about this creature, I was drawn to its duality of beauty and ferocity.  These qualities guided the direction of the work. It was commissioned by the Government of Manitoba and is permanently installed in the Manitoba Legislative Building.
